Oh no, my child is turning 17! Is this a milestone? And if so, for who (or is that whom)? Him or me? I think I'm more sad about him turning 17 than I was to turn 40. : (

He's a fine young man, Ramona, and a credit to you and Stan. Your milestone has nothing to do with age, and everything to do with adding an educated, well-adjusted, downright NICE young adult to a population badly in need of them.
No cause for sadness here, just a well-earned pride in your son.
